Many people do not know that efficient and effective evidence-based treatments exist to address a variety of mental health issues. Based on my own clinical training as a licensed mental health professional and my clinical research which has examined the efficacy of non-pharmacological treatments such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT; see here for referrals) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT; see here and here for referrals), I am always amazed at how quickly people’s lives can improve with the appropriate help.
